Wall-E

During my free time, and being a big fan of Lego, I wanted to try my hand at a little VFX exercise. The goal of this small project was to embed one of my Lego figures.
I wanted to explore shading and lookdev in Arnold Maya in more depth to achieve something realistic. The nice thing is that the Lego is right next to me, sitting in the same place. I wanted to capture all the little details and be able to recreate them later. Using a 360 camera, I was able to recreate an HDRI of its location, rework the lighting, and then embed it. I filmed a reference with the original Lego to get the colors as close as possible.
Thanks again to Wizix for his Bricklt 2.0 script https://www.artstation.com/artwork/OvqPlg
